Parashift/For Software Vendors/Become DORA & Sovereignty-Ready
For Software Vendors · Use Case

Becoming DORA- and sovereignty-ready, for your whole product.

Banks, insurers, and hospitals now require every subprocessor in their supply chain, embedded AI components included, to carry a DORA register entry, an EU AI Act classification, and documented data residency with no model training on customer data. If your document AI is missing that, it blocks your own sales into regulated accounts. Parashift ships as an engine that's already DORA-registrable, EU/CH-hosted, with all the evidence for your subprocessor directory.

The requirement today

Your customers don't just vet you, they vet every one of your subprocessors.

Under DORA (in force since Jan 17, 2025), financial entities must register and assess every ICT third-party provider in their supply chain, including embedded AI components in the software they use. If your product is missing a DORA register entry, an EU AI Act classification, or proof of data residency, your sale stalls at exactly that point in the compliance review, regardless of how good your product otherwise is.

Frequently asked

DORA and sovereignty, answered briefly.

Why does DORA concern us as a software vendor?
Because your customers in financial services have to list every ICT third-party provider in their register, and your subprocessors are part of that. What you use becomes part of their assessment.
What do our customers need for their third-party register?
Legal entity and seat, type of service, processing locations, subcontracting arrangements, termination and exit provisions, and the security evidence. Parashift supplies these in a form you can pass on.
Can we set the processing location per customer?
Yes. The processing location can be fixed per tenant, for example Switzerland for Swiss banks and the EU for customers within the scope of the GDPR.
Which certifications and evidence are available?
C5, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, plus the classification under EU AI Act Art. 6(3) and the documented processing chain.
What does sovereignty mean here in concrete terms?
That processing, storage and operations stay within the chosen legal jurisdiction and no document content leaks into third-party models. This is the point where tenders in regulated industries are decided.
Does this help us sell into regulated customers?
It removes the question that otherwise delays those deals. Instead of an open item in the security questionnaire, you attach the evidence directly.
